Facebook’s internal program bugs cause instant follower reductions including Mark Zuckerberg.
It appears that Facebook is having difficulty merging the followers of certain pages. In the last week, United States Facebook pages lost their followers instantly. At the moment, there is no update from Facebook about this matter, and we will update this post if Facebook provides an explanation. Check the following screenshot.
On October 12, 2022 ( Eastern Daylight Time ), Facebook users with more than 10000 followers lost some followers instantly and set to about 9800 followers. This may be a technical issue affecting both Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg and Facebook users.
It looks like Facebook is getting rid of followers that are tied to their user databases in the United States. We will keep an eye out on this issue and waiting solution from Meta.
